Located across the water in Aroeira, 30km from Lisbon airport.

The PGA Aroeira No.1 (formally known as Aroeira Pines Classic) and PGA Aroeira Golf No.2 (formally known as Aroeira Challenge) Courses are set in beautiful pine woodland with several lakes and benefitting from a microclimate that allows you to play golf comfortably all year round. Both Courses offer players of all levels a stimulating a varied challenge.

Located just 25 minutes from Lisbon on the South bank of the Tagus river, PGA Aroeira Golf is set in a stunning 345 hectare estate, just 600m from the beach. The woodland has many wild flowers and wildlife and was nicknamed the ‘Wentworth of Lisbon’ by the English press.

The PGA Aroeira No.1 Golf Course hosted the Portuguese Open in both 1996 and 1997. The Course is surrounded by trees but still offers surprisingly generous fairways making it a good choice for mid to high handicappers. There are no fairway bunkers and it is a largely flat Course with moderately paced greens. It is walkable.

The PGA Aroeira No.2 Golf Course was carefully designed to fully comply with the recommendations of the European Tour, with future Portuguese Opens in mind. 18 long large undulating greens surrounded by trees and 5 large lakes. The Course is well suited to golfers of all levels. With well placed hazards, bunkers and some holes that require precision the PG Aroeira No.2 Course is more challenging than the PGA Aroeira No.1 Course. This Course is longer, but still walkable.

The PGA Aroeira No.1 Golf Course opened in 1973 and was designed by Frank Pennink.
