Located near the Center of Alicante, just 7km from Alicante airport.

El Plantio Golf complex is in a very privileged location, away from noise and urban landscapes. The design of the Course is varied and entertaining and many different strategies can be used. The Course is a challenge both for the high handicappers and the low handicappers.

El Plantio Golf Course has an omnipresent vegetation, including around 15,000 bushes and flowering plants, which harmonises the game. Dense groups of trees (around 45,000) have been planted that define and shape the fairways. There are a large number of evergreen species which provide gratifying shade all year round. The vegetation along with the proximity to the sea creates a microclimate with pleasant temperatures and with the frequent summer breezes make the game very pleasant.

The mass of trees gives the player greater privacy by serving as a wall that separates and protects them. Thus we get a dynamic and intimate contact with nature, whilst the position of each tree is designed for the game. It is noteworthy that all the trees have been planted hereby repopulating an abandoned area. A Golf Course has not been designed within a forest, but on the contrary, a Course was designed in a damaged area and then a forest was planted around it, preserved by residual water source.

The presence of water both as an obstacle and a beautifying feature, conditions and complements the game differently. The lakes which are inhabited by ducks and geese are a nice touch to the game and the cascades are relaxing to listen toT. he two games of nine are harmonious. They both have undulating slopes that shape the landscape emphasising its curved forms. The green to tee distances are short which make the game more continuous. 

The El Plantio Golf Course opened in 1997 and was designed by Manuel Ferry Ruiz.
