Located in Pals, 58km from Girona airport and 149km from Barcelona airport

The Golf de Pals Golf Course (formally known as Golf Platja de Pals) was the first Golf Course built in the Costa Brava. Built within an immense pine grove, with a typical British design, in front of the sand dunes and the beach, this is a flat route capable of enthusing all kinds of players from the least experienced to the most experienced.

Located on the farmland of Arenals de Mar. Golf de Pals Golf Course was an idea created at the beginning of the seventies by Baltasar Parera Vilar and his wife Doña Rosa Coll Llach, who provided the land necessary as well as the construction of the first nine holes and the Clubhouse. Work to extend to 18 holes, began in 1964 under the management of the English architect Mr. Fred Hawtree, who from the very beginning worked closely with the plans of the Parera-Coll family. The promoters displayed a marked respect for the environment – they did not allow a single pine tree to be felled unless it was completely necessary. 

For those that seek solitude this is the Course. The first holes are rather short, with narrow fairways, light doglegs, deep bunkers protecting the greens and centennial pines surrounding the fairways. It requires a game of great precision. From hole 12, the holes are longer and more continental. The fairways widen and the greens are more generous. Two lakes come into play on the route. At hole 8 the water appears at the height of the second blow and follow the fairway until it reaches the green. In hole 9 the player will have to overcome the lake to reach a fairly flat green, with small dimensions and deep bunkers. The natural beauty and proximity to the sea inspires all players.

The Golf Platja de Pals Course opened in 1966 and was designed by Fred W Hawtree.
